Technical Assistance Update
The following update is from Tessa Miley, Chair, North/Far North Regional Consortium, California Community College Chancellor’s Office:
The North/Far North Regional Consortia is pleased to introduce our K14 TAP, Tanya Meyer.
Tanya Meyer comes to the position of the K-14 Technical Assistance Provider with 20 combined years of program development and 8 years specifically in higher education legislative grants under the California Community College Chancellor’s Office. Administering numerous Career Pathway and Economic Workforce grants, she has spent considerable time and effort to ease transition for students between their secondary and post-secondary educational institutions, help students start their career education within their current high school programs, and offer students dual enrollment or articulation credit where quality alignment occurs. Her passion for wanting all students to be successful shows through the outreach she has provided to the Far Northern region of California. Her goals are always to make a lasting impact on our workforce and provide equality in opportunities for students to discover and attain their educational achievements. She is very excited to come to this role as she values the needs of both our high school partners and our community colleges.
Tanya will represent the region and lead our K-12 SWP efforts. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org and (530) 927-7747.
Please note: CTEIG TA will now be handled by the Community College Strong Workforce K14 TAP. Our contract for technical assistance to Region 1 ended June 30th, 2019, and that support was shifted to the K14 TAPs as of July 1. While Butte County CTE will still provide assistance to schools as they wrap up their CTEIG grants from the last few years, support for all new CTEIG and K14 SWP grants will be handled by your new K14 TAP, Tanya Meyer.
