In 1974, the Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) established the Butte County Regional Occupational Program (ROP). The intent was to develop a career technical education (CTE) delivery system that would provide skill training and career guidance with work-based learning opportunities appropriate for Butte County youth and adults.
Since then, Butte County CTE was created to house CTE programs and services which include ROP as well as CTE leadership development, technical assistance and teacher mentorship, to name a few. In addition, Butte County CTE collaborates with industry and workforce development agencies to offer personalized training programs. |

me something that I’m passionate about, and I can go into the world and make something of myself, and make my parents proud for the first time.” - Welding Academy Graduate |
