Butte County ROP maintains educational records in accordance with the applicable accreditation agencies, as well as State and Federal laws, and carefully monitors and protects the release of any student information. Students have the right to review their own records. 

Release of Information
Students who are eighteen or older and enrolled in a postsecondary program must give written permission for anyone to review their records by submitting a Student Release of Information/Records Request to the Butte County ROP Office.
  • To enable this release, the student must sign and date the request form. Under "Document Requested," check the box for "Other" and indicate the name(s) of which individuals or entities will be able to access the student’s information as well as what information is to be released (for example, personal information, academic records, transcripts, and/or financial records.)​
  • Return this signed release to the CTE Main Office by mail, email or fax. 

Records Request
Butte County ROP students may order a record of their completed coursework and program Certificate of Proficiency by submitting a Student Release of Information/Records Request to the Butte County ROP Office.
  • Requests require three to five business days to complete.
  • The requested document/s may be emailed or issued in a sealed envelope to the person or institution, as directed by the student.
  • The Letter of Verification is free and a duplicate Certificate of Proficiency costs $25.00.
