In 1974, the Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) established the Butte County Regional Occupational Program (ROP). The intent was to develop a career technical education (CTE) delivery system that would provide skill training and career guidance with work-based learning opportunities appropriate for Butte County youth and adults.
Since then, Butte County CTE was created to house CTE programs and services which include Butte County ROP as well as CTE leadership development, technical assistance and teacher mentorship, to name a few. In addition, Butte County CTE collaborates with industry and workforce development agencies to offer personalized training programs. Butte County ROP
