Butte County CTE is the CTE Department of the Butte County Office of Education. We support Career Technical Education in our community through our School of ROP Adult Programs, Career Exploration for Schools and our Career Skills Camps for local youth. We also provide CTE Professional Development, CTE Funding Technical Assistance and Direct Support Professional Training.
School of ROP Adult Programs
Butte County CTE has been providing Career Technical Education through its ROP Program to Butte County since 1975. ROP programs are taught by instructors with industry skills and knowledge, and each holds a State of California credential authorizing their instruction in their industry area. Through our School of ROP, we provide high quality career technical programs that prepare students for industry employment in careers such as Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Dental Assistant, Professional Welder and Veterinary Assistant. CTE Professional Development
Butte County CTE provides CTE teachers, counselors and other K12 educators and administrators with engaging and targeted professional development that supports high quality career technical education. CTE Funding Technical Assistance
Direct Support Professional Training
Under a contract with the CDE, our DSPT program provides testing and training to regional center residential care givers who serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Learn more here.
