To Apply for Programs Approved for Financial Aid:

ROP adult program students are selected through an application and interview process. Students must be enrolled for a least half-time in order to process Stafford Loan.

How to complete a FAFSA Online

Step 1: Complete a FAFSA Online
  1. Go to fafsa.gov. Follow the prompts.
  2. You will need to create a username and password called a Federal Student Aid ID or “FSA ID.” This will be required to sign the FAFSA electronically before the application can be submitted. (For students 24 years of age or under, one parent will also need to create their own unique FSA ID.)
  3. You will need to enter or upload financial information, including information from tax forms and balances of savings and checking accounts. (For students 24 years old and under, a parent will also need to provide financial information.) You will have the option to automatically transfer tax information into the FAFSA form using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. If you are unable to upload your tax information into your FAFSA, you can request a tax transcript at your local IRS Office or online from the Internal Revenue Service at: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/order-a-transcript.
  4. When asked for the school code for Butte County Regional Occupational Program (ROP), type in “042205.”
  5. E-Sign your FAFSA using your Federal Student Aid ID.

Once you have completed your FAFSA, a summary/confirmation report will be generated. Please keep a copy for your records.
