Butte County CTE
In 1974, the Butte County Office of Education established the Butte County Regional Occupational Program (Butte County ROP). The intent was to develop a career technical education delivery system that would provide skill training and career guidance with work-based learning opportunities appropriate for Butte County youth and adults.
Since then, Butte County CTE was created as a department to house CTE programs and services which include Butte County ROP as well as CTE leadership development, technical assistance, K-12 career education and CTE teacher mentorship, to name a few. In addition, Butte County CTE collaborates with industry and workforce development agencies to offer personalized training programs. Butte County CTE offers a wide variety of career programs and services for adults in the county. These are intended for anyone seeking a new career, a career focus, or upgrading of current skills.
