Program Overview

Our eleven-week academy provides students with the opportunity to learn basic welding skills while preparing for welding-related employment. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with hands-on application.

  • Program Length: 11 weeks
  • Classroom Instruction (first 9 weeks): 
    • Mondays and Wednesdays: 8am - 3pm
    • Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 8am-11:30am
  • Community Classroom (last 2 weeks): 
    • Monday through Thursday (times vary; may start as early as 6am)
    • Fridays in class: 8am-11:30am

In the last two weeks of class, students will have the opportunity to gain real-world, on-the-job training through participation in our “Community Classroom.” This unpaid learning experience prepares students for a successful transition into the workplace.

​Requirements:
  • Students must be age 18 or older
  • Program fee is due one week before you begin class (see schedule in the Program Information Sheet)
