"Crack the Career Code" Career Exploration Module for Schools

School Teachers, Administrators and Counselors:
  • Do your students know what their interests are, and how these interests might inform possible careers? 
  • Do they know what education or training they will need for the career that fits them best?
  • And...do they have a career plan for after high school?

Help your students "Crack the Career Code” with our Career Exploration Module!
Over the course of seven sessions, 8th-grade students will explore their interests, investigate multiple career areas and review potential educational paths. At the end of this module, students will determine their next steps to embark on their career journey with confidence.​​

How does it work?
  • Participating schools and teachers will utilize Butte County CTE-developed curriculum which includes high-quality presentation slides, online resources, videos and a full-color workbook that students get to keep.
  • The module starts off with a careers pre-survey that identifies students’ current career planning knowledge. Butte County CTE will share the survey results with each site to start the conversation about career planning at home.
  • At the end of the module, students will be equipped with the practical knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their future careers.
