Butte County CTE (Career Technical Education) and BCOE’s Educational Technology Department have collaborated to create a no-cost “camp” designed specifically for middle school students impacted by the Camp Fire. This camp takes place the Monday-Thursday of Spring Break, 2019.
Camp Description:
In this Spring Break camp, middle school students will be introduced to the career technical education (CTE) field of computer science through the use of a Piper Computer Kit. Students will obtain hands-on building and coding skills and explore computers and other electronic hardware gadgets while navigating a Minecraft Raspberry Pi Edition video game. At the end of the camp, students will earn a computer science certificate.
