May 2022 Update

Summer Camps 2022
Once again, Butte County CTE is excited to offer camps for middle grade students that combine fun with the development of powerful career skills!  Middle school students are at the perfect age to be exposed to career possibilities and begin career planning. Butte County CTE is proud to partner with local agencies to provide camps focusing on career technical education skills to students in grades 6-8. 
 
Camps Offered Summer 2022

• Intro to Ag Camp (NEW!)
• Fashion Design: Upcycling (NEW!)
• Construction (For Girls, For Everyone)
• Intro to Veterinary Science
• Digital Photography and Photoshop
• Starting Your Own Business (New Instructor)

 
Youth Leader Program
Our department is also providing a new leadership development opportunity for youth ages 15-17 – serving as a “Youth Leader” for each of our camps!
 
Under the supervision of the Camp Leader and Butte County CTE Career Camp Administrator, the duties of the Youth Leader will include:

• Checking campers in and out of camp
• Participating in group activities
• Helping set up and put away equipment and supplies
• Supporting campers in developing technical skills specific to the camp
• Providing a safe and fun atmosphere for campers!

 
We are excited to continue to expand the career exploration and preparation opportunities for youth in our area!
