Summer Skills Camps
The Butte County CTE Summer Skills Camps 2023 were a huge success! We had an amazing time with over 75 talented students, ages 12-14, from all around Butte County. From Welding, Construction, and Vet Science, to Entrepreneurship, Fashion Design, Sewing, and Digital Photography, our campers explored their passions and honed their skills! 🛠️📸👗 If you missed out this time, don't worry, there's always next year! Stay tuned for more updates and join us for an even bigger and better CTE Summer Skills Camps experience! 😎🌞 Last Call for Applications to our Professional Welding Academy We are accepting applications for our August 2023 session until Friday, July 14th, 2023. Our eight-week academy provides students with the opportunity to learn basic welding skills while preparing for welding-related employment. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with hands-on application. In the last four weeks of class, students will have the opportunity to gain real-world, on-the-job training through participation in our “Community Classroom.” This unpaid learning experience prepares students for a successful transition into the workplace.

COE Summer Conference 2023 CTE Team Members MaryRose Lovgren and Regina Bernard recently attended the COE Summer Conference in San Antonio, Texas. COE stands for the Council on Occupational Education, and is the national accrediting agency responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of career and technical education programs and institutions across the United States. The conference provided an array of engaging workshops aimed at honing our skills for future accreditation visits and maintaining accreditation standards. This participation reflects Butte County ROP's continuous effort towards institutional improvement and commitment to quality education. |
