In CTE Land… The Professional Welding Academy is up and going with our new instructor Tim Moss. MaryRose as the Admin Lead is happy to report that the facility looks amazing and the students are happy to be up and rolling! Sharon Nilsson has crafted the attached Newsletter to keep all of Butte and Glenn County in the loop about multiple opportunities in CTE and beyond. Please take a lookJ https://www.smore.com/1bj27-butte-glenn-k12-cte-newsletter?ref=email The majority of the staff will be attending an Economic Development Summit this Thursday, this is an opportunity to network and grow our capacity as a team in the area of labor and economics. On December 16th, the Team submitted an Apprenticeship application to create a new model around the RDA program. The allocations will be announced in February 2023. Thank you to all that participated in getting the application ready to submit. Earlier this year Amanda, Lance and Kelly to the lead and assisted Hearthstone with the submission of an SWP application. The focus of the application was the creation of a Medical Assisting Pathways for high school students. The grant was funded! The Team will be working with Hearthstone to provide this resource to the high school community. In ROP Country…. Jean is up and moving with her 2023 class of Certified Veterinary Assistants! Big thank you to Mary and Regina, for getting all the necessary items in place for the students prior to their start date. The 2023 class for MA is in search of substitute. We will keep you posted as this progresses. Our Registered Dental Assistant program is humming right along. I was able to spend time in the class prior to break. The ROP RDA is a stand out program due to the instructors diligence, passion and genuine care and concern for the students.
